How to Cropping MIDI file using Anvil Studio software

Copied from a different forum, not the best howto, but maybe it will help some people.

The best way to crop midi files using anvil is to make sure you go to
view->composer. Once you get here, I find that selecting piano roll is the simplest way to work with the file. Basically what you’ll see is a series of horizontal bars representing each tone being generated and it’s duration. If you play the file, you’ll see a vertical line move from left to right. As it gets to each bar it will sound with the appropriate tone. Just play with it and you’ll know what I’m talking about. After you figure that out, use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window to place the line in the place that you want to crop from. From here you can go to file->truncate song either from the beginning to where the line is, or from where the line is to the end, effectively cutting the beginning or the end of the song off. You may have to manually erase stray tones from the ends to make things neat, just right click and select remove note.

I know this may seem confusing, but it really is not hard at all.
